Riverdale Organizing for Change (ROC) is a grassroots community organization devoted to addressing issues concerning the quality of life in Riverdale. We are comprised of concerned stakeholders, people who live, work and worship in the village. We are non-partisan, the only interest we represent are the interest of the communities.

Our primary goal is to provide a vehicle whereby residents can hold their elected officials accountable and to promote citizenship and community. The purpose of our candidate’s forum is we believe the residents of the Riverdale and surrounding southern suburbs have a right to have a voice in the political process. We believe it helps our members and neighbors make an informed decision.

Zambia Project – The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zambia is a young, vibrant, growing church, currently with 5,600 members who attend 35 different congregations across Zambia. Yet, they lack strong church buildings for worship space, and often hold services in temporary or unsafe structures or outdoors under trees. We have an opportunity to change this. In collaboration with our brothers and sisters in Zambia, ELCA Global church sponsorship is embarking on a project where 15 new permanent church buildings across Zambia can be built. The goal is to raise   $500,000 to facilitate this endeavor.
